DANIEL H. (Dan) MILLER, has served Kentucky as a real estate closing attorney for over 30 years. His practice has represented residential and commercial mortgage lenders, buyers, sellers, property investors, real estate agents and brokers, builders, developers, and homeowner associations, and has handled general real estate matters in Court. His clients have asked him to serve as a board member of Mortgage Bankers Association of the Bluegrass, Realtor-Community Housing Foundation, and BIA Cares (formerly known as Home Builders Care). He has served his profession as Chair of the Real Property Section of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Fayette County Bar Association.
Dan grew up in Winchester, Kentucky and attend the University of Kentucky where he became a member of the Kappa Alpha Order (BBA, 1982). He attended the University of Louisville School of Law (now known as the Brandeis School of Law) where he was elected by fellow students to serve on the Moot Court Board, and was selected to serve on the staff of the Journal of Law & Education (Juris Doctor, 1988).
He is admitted to practice in the courts of Kentucky, U.S. District Court (Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky), and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Miller has served the Commonwealth of Kentucky on the Kentucky Heritage Council, appointed by Governor Ernie Fletcher, and serves the local community on the Fayette County Board of Elections. He has served as an officer and board member of the Rotary Club of Lexington.
An Eagle Scout, he has served Scouting as a unit leader, as well as District Chairman and President of the Blue Grass Council, Boy Scouts of America. He has received the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver Award, and was named an Outstanding Eagle Scout by the National Eagle Scout Association. He is an Ordained Deacon of the Presbyterian Church, and is a member of Centenary Church. He is married to the former Lisa Jacobs of Lexington, and is very proud of his daughter Meredith, and son Wilson.
